You ever made a new years resolution year after year that you just couldn’t seem to keep? I have. Mine was “I’ll never use the phrase ‘Man I wish I had a camera with me!’ this year.” Something like five years running I said that, and it never stuck.
So in June of 2007, after realizing that I had nothing to talk about but politics and had no outside hobbies anymore, I bought a Nikon D40 SLR with an 18-55mm kit lens, and got hooked. Since then I’ve upgraded to a D80 and some new lenses, and completed my first class at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, and finally started taking photos of more than just political events, and I love it. This site is my dumping ground of photos, art and other creations I’ve put together.
As for me? I grew up in Arlington, Virginia, but spent most of my life in Clifton. I grew up around horses, hence why you’ll see them in a lot of my photography. I’ve worked as a staff assistant up on the Hill, and now as a legislative aide to Delegate David Englin, whom you’ll also find in a lot of those photos. Oh, and I’m a total dork and willing to admit it: avid Buzz Out Loud listener, technocrat, and the guy you’ll find hitting refresh on MacRumors.com everytime Steve Jobs dons the jeans and turtleneck at “church“.
So that’s about it. Enjoy the photos, comment, critique, whatever ![]()
